SAIL Hiring Engineers as MT (Technical):

SAIL invites applications from engineering graduates for 124 MT posts across the following disciplines:

Discipline:: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrica, Electronics, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Civil and Computer

Eligibility Criteria

• Full-time B.E. / B.Tech (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline.

• Minimum eligibility marks/percentage

• Age limit (for general category) as on last date: typically up to 28 years (relaxation for reserved categories as per norms)

Selection Process

• Stage-1: Computer Based Test (CBT) — 200 marks, divided into: Domain Knowledge (100) + Aptitude Test (100: Quant, Reasoning, English, General Awareness)

• Stage-2: Shortlisted candidates (1:3 ratio) will go through Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

• Final merit will be based on combined performance (CBT + GD + PI) as per SAIL norms

Salary & Benefits

• During training: ₹ 50,000 per month (in E-1 grade)

• After successful training (on confirmation): Designated as Assistant Manager (E-1 grade) – pay scale ₹ 60,000 – ₹ 1,80,000 per month

• Additional perks: Dearness Allowance (DA), PF, Gratuity, HRA / housing / medical facilities for self & dependents, other allowances as per company policy.

• Approximate CTC: ~ ₹ 16–17 LPA (excluding PRP & location-based allowances)
