SSC CGL 2025:- Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Specific posts like Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) may require additional qualifications (e.g., Statistics at the graduate level).
- PharmD graduates and other specialized degree holders are also eligible, provided they meet the general criteria.
Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: Varies by post (generally 27–30 years)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms
Nationality

The SSC CGL 2025 exam is conducted in two tiers, both computer-based tests (CBTs):
Tier-I (Qualifying)
- Mode: Online
- Sections: 4 (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension)
- Total Marks: 200 (50 marks per section)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer
Tier-II
- Paper-I: Compulsory for all posts (Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, General Awareness, English, Computer Knowledge, Data Entry)
- Paper-II: For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) posts (Statistics)
