What is VISA Card
Visa is a Legal Document of Permission to Visit any Country, used with a Passport and Travel Tickets (To and Fro), issued by the Embassy of the Country, where the traveler is planning to Visit.
VISA TYPES
A citizen of a foreign country who seeks to enter the Country generally must first obtain a visa, which is placed in the traveler’s Passport, a travel document issued by the traveler’s country of citizenship.

A letter from the company in Sweden/Latvia explaining the nature of the business and the duration of the visit. A Letter of invitation from an Indian company stating the purpose and duration for which the visa is requested. Proof of financial standing and expertise in the field of intended business (applicable in case of new business venture/start-ups) Proof of registration of the inviting Indian Company/ Incorporation letter of the inviting Indian Company. eConference VISA | Student VISA Student Visa is issued for undertaking under-graduation, master or other higher educational studies in recognized Universities or Institutions in India. |
A letter from a recognized educational institution in India confirming the admission of the applicant and the duration of the course. Evidence of financial arrangements made for maintenance in India. If admission is not confirmed, a provisional admission letter may also be produced. Proof of completion of graduation/post-graduation (Only for Internship) For pursuing an internship in NGO for referral cases it may take a processing time of up to 40 days |
eMedical VISA | Transit VISA Transit visas are issued for changing flights and traveling to another country. Transit should be the sole purpose and stay should not be misused for any other Purpose. |

eMedical Attendant VISA | Employment VISA Employment Visa is granted to a foreign national who wishes to come to India for Remunerative employment/ Intra-company transfers in the company. |
To be eligible to apply, your salary offer must be at least INR 16.25 lakhs per annum Employment contract duly signed by the employer and employee. Acceptance of the offer duly signed by the employee. The employment contract must be on non-judicial stamp paper. Proof of registration/incorporation of the company with the Government of India. Letter on the employer’s letterhead indicating the nature of the job, salary structure, and duration of the contract. Copy of degree/diploma/certification/training Resume of the applicant with a copy of relevant credentials. For Teaching Jobs: Letter of appointment from the school and No-objection Certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, New Delhi. eEmergency X-Misc VISA | Journalist VISA All Journalists including photographers/film producers or directors (other than of commercial films), a representative of a Radio or Television organization, travel writers or travel promotion photographers, etc. are required to apply for Journalist Visa only, even if the visit to India is for reasons other than journalism. |

Advisory: The government of India has not authorized any agent or intermediary to Issue visas or charge any fee for the facilitation of any category of e-visa / regular or emergency visa. For travel to India, an e-visa / regular visa along with a passport is mandatory. Only applicants from countries exempted under bilateral arrangements may not need a visa to travel to India. Conference Visa A conference visa is granted to foreign nationals for attending a conference /seminar or workshop in India. |
Invitation for the event. In case of an international conference, organizers may be asked to provide the clearance of concerned Indian Authorities. |
VISA Fee The Embassy does not accept cash/cheques at the visa counter. Applicants are requested to pay a fee for the service requested through BANK-GIRO only and enclose a copy of the proof of payment along with the application documents. Please note, all visa fees (excluding Diplomatic/Official/UN passport holders) for Sweden and Latvia must be paid directly to the Embassy of India to Sweden and Latvia in Stockholm. |
Entry (X) Visa Entry Visa is granted to Persons of Indian Origin, Foreign nationals married to Indian citizens/OCI/PIO card holder & their children, and Foreign nationals owning property in India. |
For applicants who previously held Indian nationality: A copy of the renunciation certificate/surrender certificate and canceled Indian passport 2.
