Agniveer SSR
- Normally requires 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics.

10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Officer route for eligible PCM students
What is 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry?
This is a specialised officer-entry route for eligible 12th-pass candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates are shortlisted using the prescribed JEE Main criteria and then undergo the Navy's selection process.
The January 2027 recruitment had 60 vacancies and its application window closed in June 2026.

Sports Background
Navy sports recruitment is a specialised route and requires achievement in recognised sports competitions as specified in the particular advertisement.
Sports disciplines may include athletics, aquatics, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi, volleyball, wrestling, shooting, sailing and other disciplines notified by the Navy.
Qualification

Yes. Women can apply for a number of Indian Navy officer and sailor/Agniveer opportunities, depending upon the particular notification.
For example, the 2026 Agniveer SSR and MR recruitment permitted unmarried male and female candidates, while SSR Medical was restricted to unmarried male candidates.
Officer entries such as Executive, Pilot, Naval Air Operations, ATC and several technical branches can also contain vacancies for women, but the exact number and branch eligibility should always be checked in the current notification.
